Add devices to FP Trax with serial number, model and assigned owner. Attach a barcode, QR code or RFID tag. The device is in the system and its status is live from that point forward.
FP Trax sends the employee a message: their new device is ready, it is in locker X, and the old device must be returned within a set number of days. The employee collects using their personal code. No helpdesk presence required. The handover is logged the moment the locker opens.
As the return deadline approaches, FP Trax sends the employee a reminder to bring back the old device. If the device is not returned in time, the reminder repeats. IT always knows which old devices are still out, who has them and how many days remain. No manual chasing.
When the employee returns the old device to the locker, FP Trax closes the exchange. Condition notes can be added on collection. The device is marked as in service or available immediately. The full record of the handover, from loading the locker to return of the old device, is in one place.
